Sölden

This is the World Cup City of the Alps! Every year, the World Cup opening in the Alpine circus starts here.

Sölden is situated 1400 m above sea level in the Ötz Valley in Tirol on the Swiss border, 200 Km from Munich, 250 Km from Zürich and 80 Km from Innsbruck. You can ski at 3000 m above sea level!

Sölden is known for a super atmosphere and for the many events taking place here.

There is a huge variety of ski slopes; - here you will find something for the beginner but also for the experienced skier. You ski on one of the most famous glaciers of Austria,- the Rettenbachferner. From the town of Sölden you can take a cable car direct up to the glacier.

Here you also find the test centre of the Salomon ski company. If you wish, you can test the newest equipment or go skiing with one of the company’s “test drivers”, - these guys are real professionals!

Sölden also offers party! Of the 30 bars and restaurants in town, the most famous are “The Bierhimmel”, “The BlaBla” and “The Ötzi Keller” where you can dance until dawn. You will find the bars on the main street between hotels, shops and restaurants.
