Engelberg

This nice town is situated approximately 94 km from Zürich in the German speaking part of Switzerland. The town lies beneath the mountain of Titlis in the Swiss Alps. The view of the mountain, reaching 3000m above sea level, is impressive.

The local inhabitants of Engelberg are known for their hospitality. We strongly recommend a stroll along the main street with its variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, - stopping by one of the taverns for a fondue or a raclette.

Normally, the Swiss aren’t known for their wild nightlife, but Engelberg is the exception. Particularly popular is the club “Yacatan”. This is mainly due to the fact that the owner plays in the band which entertains during the weekends. Other bars to visit are for example “The CC Bar”, “Eden” and “Dream Life”.

Engelberg is also known for its annual ski jump tournament. But people also do other sports here, for example downhill skiing, cross country, curling and ice hockey. 30 lifts and cable cars will bring the guests up in the mountains where the view of the Swiss Alps is marvellous!

” Engelberg, and you are in Heaven” the saying goes.

The skiing area is divided in two parts, Titlis and Engelberg itself. The slopes are very varied and all kind of skiers will find what they want here!

For the non-skiers we recommend going to the nearby town Luzern for a day of shopping!!

Welcome!
