Guided City Tours

Munich.

Munich offers many noteworthy sights. A guided tour of the city stopping at the Residenz in order to touch the noses (!) of the guarding lions will bring you luck!

Other things to visit: The BMW World, The City Hall at Marienplatz, The Olympic Park, The English Garden with The Chinese Tower ( A Bavarian “Biergarten” where you sit under chestnut trees eating and drinking), Nymphenburger Castle, The Viktualien markt ( A market offering agricultural produce, also with a “Biergarten”), The Frauen Church and a lot of museums. You can’t see Munich in one day!

If you enjoy shopping, you won’t lack opportunities! In this city you will find something suiting every taste and valet. The most famous shopping street is the Maximillian Srteet with its luxury boutiques, for example Gucci, Dior, Louis Vuitton etc. , but in the streets nearby you will find High Street Stores and cheaper brands.

Munich by night:

The city offers a varied night life. One of the best known clubs is P1, regularly visited by celebrities from Germany and abroad. Another popular bar is Trader Vic’s in the Hotel Bayerischer Hof. Here you will surely meet the “chicheria” of Munich. If you prefer to mingle with people from Munich’s fashion and music scene, then the club Baby! is the place to go. The club is known for strict doormen and super DJs!

The more grownups prefer to visit the clubs Pascha or the 089Bar.

A super atmosphere and a young, mixed audience you will find in Volksgarten, Kunstpark,Two Rooms, Meinburk and Max & Moritz.

Salzburg.

Salzburg is situated at Salzach, 115 km southeast of Munich. This is the hometown of the famous composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The house in which he was born is today a museum. The house is really worth a visit, as its exhibition gives you a very good insight into Mozart’s life. In the city you can buy a lot of “Mozart products”, for example chocolate and liquors with his name on them. In addition, many hotels and other buildings are named after him. During the city’s annual summer music festival, many of his famous operas are performed. If you visit the city during the summer months, don’t miss this festival!

Salzburg was built during the 15th and 16th century. It s architecture reminds of Italian cities with its churches, copulas and towers. The town was not being bombed during the 2nd World War, so the buildings are all originals. The visitors can enjoy the beautiful palazzos, churches and gardens with opulent fountains. The city is really charming! You will find the old part of town in the area of Mönchsberg with its castle Hohensalzburg dating back to 1077. The view of the city from the castle is fantastic! In Mönchsberg you will also find the monastry of St. Peter which was built in 690 on the ruins of the Roman Juvavum.

East of the old town you will find the Nature Historical Museum with its vast collection of all things related to flora and fauna.

Another sight worth a visit is the Cathedral at the Domplatz. It was built during the period 1614-1628. Not far from the Cathedral is the Residenzplatz with the Residenz which today is the castle of the Arch Bishop.

Four kilometres south of the Old Town of Salzburg you will find the baroque palazzo of Hellbrunn. It was built in the 16th century by the Bishop Marcus Sitticus and has, among many other things, a beautiful garden with statues and opulent fountains. If you want to experience the night life of Salzburg, the possibilities are many. We recommend a visit to the bar “Carpe Diem” or to the Augustiner Bräu Mulin where beer is served in abundance.
